Conference Location and Hotel Information

We recommend staying at the Courtyard by Marriott San Marcos located at 625 Commercial Loop in San Marcos. The special conference rate is $129.00 per night for a king room or $139 per night for a queen double. This rate is good from Thursday, April 16, 2026 through Saturday, April 19, 2026. The last day to book this special rate is Tuesday, March 17, 2026.

Registration and Fees

Conference registration fees are paid according to the schedule below. Presenters should arrange for payment to be forwarded to the Treasurer before April 3, 2026. Conference participants may pay the registration fee via a link to paypal.com, which will be available on the Society’s website, http://nmtx.org/ after submissions have been accepted. Check or cash only accepted at the conference. Payments made at the conference will only be accepted on the morning of either Friday April 17th or Saturday, April 18th.

Welcome to the New Mexico Texas Philosophical Society (NMTX), a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting philosophical thought and education. NMTX holds annual meetings in late March or early April and is an inviting place for philosophers of all levels to present their ideas in English or Spanish. Pursuant to the mission of NMTX, the Society publishes a professional journal Southwest Philosophical Studies (SPS). SPS is a blind and peer reviewed journal which publishes ten to twelve of the best papers accepted into the annual conference.
