Call For Papers - 72nd Annual Meeting

April 8-9, 2022 in Waco, TX

We invite papers on any philosophical topic in English or Spanish for the annual conference of the New Mexico Texas Philosophical Society. Papers should be no more than 3,000 words (excluding footnotes and references) and presentations should be no longer than 25 minutes.

Complete papers are required; abstracts will not be accepted. There will be commentaries on each paper, and authors of accepted papers are invited to comment on other papers. Papers that have been previously published (or are forthcoming for publication) are not eligible for submission.

Each paper should be prepared for anonymous review and submitted electronically to the following website by January 1, 2022.

Welcome to the New Mexico Texas Philosophical Society (NMTX), a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting philosophical thought and education. NMTX holds annual meetings in late March or early April and is an inviting place for philosophers of all levels to present their ideas in English or Spanish. Pursuant to the mission of NMTX, the Society publishes a professional journal Southwest Philosophical Studies (SPS). SPS is a blind and peer reviewed journal which publishes ten to twelve of the best papers accepted into the annual conference.
